Director of Data Analytics Successfully Completes Course for Marketing Data Governance and Certification
PHILADELPHIA, January 8, 2012 – On the heels of DMW Direct's successful completion of the SOC 2 audit for controls at a service organization, Cathy Carleton, Director of Data Analytics, reached another data and information security milestone. For three days in December, Carleton joined nine other professionals in completing a leading-edge program conducted in New York City by the Direct Marketing Association. This course, titled The Institute for Marketing Data Governance and Certification, is recommended for anyone who sells information, uses data for marketing and works with clients who access and use data.
DMW Direct has long been committed to following best practices when it comes to data information security and HIPAA compliance. Upon completion of the course and earning a passing grade on the final course assessment, Carleton was deemed certified in matters of data governance as it pertains to sales and marketing. This certification bolsters DMW Direct’s ability to advise clients on how to properly handle personally identifiable information, as well as how to uphold information privacy standards across marketing channels and vertical markets. This is particularly critical in DMW’s focused industries of healthcare and insurance.
